As Owner and Principal at PRESS, Drew leads the design and management of all projects in the practice. With over 18 years of experience leading award-winning and often complex projects, he knows that clear and open communication is the key to maintaining progress and establishing respect on a project team. His knack for project management ensures every project, regardless of size, moves forward with confidence. Drew's project experience includes commercial, mixed use, single and multifamily, K-12, higher education, research facilities, manufacturing, and light industrial facilities. A mid-west transplant, Drew earned his M.Arch and BS. Arch degrees from the University of Cincinnati.
Prior to establishing PRESS, Drew was a lead designer and project manager at Nystrom Olson in Spokane. His experience at Katerra formed the basis for PRESS as the preeminent mass timber architectural design office in the Inland NW. While at Katerra, Drew managed the architectural team for Catalyst, Washington state's first full mass timber commercial and higher education building. He also spearheaded the development for Katerra's light industrial mass timber product team - culminating in the design and construction of CLT warehouses in Spokane, WA and Dallas, TX. Drew's design approach is founded on his experiences at ZGF (Portland) and Min Day (Omaha), progressive design offices in the US.
Drew and his family have called Spokane home since 2015. He enjoys cooking, kayaking, and attempting to keep a tab on the ever-growing menagerie of pets his wife and daughter adopt.
