At PRESS, we strongly believe in the opportunity that mass timber presents to the design and building industry. As a rapidly renewable material, wood construction has existed for millennia; however, our industry has not evolved beyond time-intensive stick frame construction….until now. Large scale format building ‘legos’ and off-site fabrication are becoming increasingly important to move the building industry forward.

We understand the importance of material and panel optimization in establishing an efficient and cost prudent mass timber solution. While not all projects warrant wood, PRESS understands the value mass timber may bring to a project - especially in an industry where labor shortages and material procurement are impacting construction schedules.

Trade consolidation and reduced on-site labor are key advantages of mass timber over traditional stick built construction. The ability for a cross-laminated timber floor to act as structure, fire separation, and finish all-in-one, from our view, is a significant boost to schedule acceleration.
